It is not hard to understand that the evolving nature of COVID-19 protocols has had an impact on most businesses. That includes also ours – data recovery. You would think that something like what we do would be largely unaffected by the restrictions that have been put in place by both the federal and provincial governments. However, the opposite is closer to the truth. We have had to adapt how we conduct business to keep you (our valued clients), and us (our technicians, staff, and their families) as safe as possible to slow down the spread of coronavirus.

Although the situation may appear completely out of hand in parts of the world, things seem to be stabilizing somewhat in our province. Yes, there are still lockdowns in places. Yes, customer capacity limits are reduced in places, and some services are not permitted to open whatsoever. As the COVID protocols keep shifting to meet the evolution of the virus and the impact it has had and continues to have, we at Aesonlabs are doing everything possible to meet (and in some cases, exceed) the necessary protocols and nation-wide restrictions.

The good news is that our doors are still open for business to remedy your data loss when you need it the most.

How You Can Help Us

There are a few simple things you can do to assist us in reducing the spread of COVID. By staying home and only leaving your residence when required for essential reasons can help. If you have more than one person living in your household, designate one person to go and take care of business that you cannot do any other way. Or, make use of delivery services for groceries, prescriptions, and other essentials. By all of us working together to reduce our exposure, physically distancing ourselves from others when out of our homes, sanitizing hands frequently, and wearing masks, COVID numbers will slowly decrease.

At the time being, we are offering free inbound and outbound shipping for all of our Canadian and US-based clients. Although some of our customers still prefer to personally drop off and pick up from our location, we strongly urge you to consider taking advantage of our free shipping offer. Again, by working together, we can stop the effects of the pandemic and possibly see some normalcy return.

These Are Our Enforced Guidelines

If you still wish to drop off your hard drive or computer with us, we have implemented strict COVID protocols. They include the following:

1 – Wear a mask. That mask is also required to be properly in place on your face at all times.
2 – Appointments are required for drop-offs, pick-ups, or any other purpose involving our business. You can book your appointment in one of two different ways. You can phone us toll-free at 1-888-833-8701 or you can contact us via email to make the proper arrangements.

Other Changes To Our Business

COVID has impacted a few elements related to our business. For example, we are not currently estimating approximate turnaround times. As we are enforcing and adapting to new protocols within our office and laboratory, delays should be expected. Those delays will impact the recovery process times and shipping times. We apologize for these delays, but they are necessary considering the protocols we must follow.

One of our top priorities is the safety of our employees. We also have an obligation to our clients to keep providing them with our services. This is why we are following strict guidelines to ensure the well being of our employees and their families while working to keep you and your family also safe when dealing with our business. It is not an easy task, so we ask that you be patient and understand the circumstances we are working under.

Discounts Still Available

We continue to provide discount rates to all of our 9-1-1 and emergency personnel who are on the front lines daily. We also continue to provide student discounts and have payment plans available. All you have to do is ask about them and we can discuss how we can assist in this manner.
